Long Time Coming

Cancun in the Winter Wonderland Show. He is in foal/yearling halter!

<sub>"Well, he's finally begun" Caroline said, watching the colt in his first show.
"Yeah, took long enough," Megan grumbled. She had always liked Cancun, but never had the chance to work with him.
"Why are your panties in such a knot?" Caroline asked, glancing sideways.
"What?" Megan asked, jaw wide open, staring at Caroline.
"What's been going on with you lately? You've had a horrible attitude with everyone," She elaborated.
"I'm just sick of this." She muttered.
"What can you possibly be sick of? We get paid to ride amazing horses. What could possibly be better?" Caroline asked, surprised.
"No, you get to ride amazing horses. The ones I have to ride are the ones who are just assholes all the time," She complained.
"Well Hannah said that you ride them much better," Caroline replied, leaving out the part that she rides like a sack of potatoes when she gets on a horse who's well behaved.
"But maybe I'd like to ride a nice horse for once," Megan argued.
"Can we just be quiet and watch the show? I'd like to see how Cancun is doing, if you don't mind." Caroline retorted.
Megan huffed and turned away, crossing her arms.

Ava was showing Cancun, as she specialized in foals and yearlings.
She unclipped the lead rope and stepped away to show the colt's obedience.
The staff had no doubt about this portion of the class. Cancun was as laid back as you could ever imagine a horse being.
He stood in place, dead to the world. Wind whipped up sand in the area and buffeted his legs, but he paid no notice.
They all smiled, watching the cool-as-a-cucumber colt.</sub>
